Trainer’s Bio

Christian Matta

Christian Matta has over 10 years of experience in Yoga and meditation and had thorough training at the Art of Living headquarters based in Canada and India in Yoga, ancient scriptures and in different self development workshops offered by the Foundation.

Brought up in the midst of sectarian conflict in war torn Lebanon, Christian believes in the Art of Living’s message of uniting the hearts and minds of people from diverse backgrounds, traditions and cultures as a global family sharing the basic human values of life and striving for a stress-free and violence-free society.

Christian has been actively volunteering with the Foundation since 2002. He teaches Sri Sri Yoga, Art of Living Youth and children workshops, empowerment workshops for young adults, the Art of Living course, Sri Sri Yoga, and the prison rehabilitation course. He has travelled across Quebec and Ontario, Canada and across the middle-east and Arabian Gulf.

He was based in Jordan for 3 years supporting the local chapter as well as surrounding countries empowering youths and building a youth corps for social change.  In July 2011, after an extensive 4-year mission in the Middle East, Christian returned to Canada and is now based in Ottawa/Gatineau supporting the local AOLF chapter

Madelin Rocheleau

Madelin Rocheleau is a 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor. She has been practicing yoga since she discovered it during her second year of university in 2009. She particularly enjoyed power yoga, finding that the combination of strengthening and stretching exercises were both invigorating and centering, allowing for a full body workout combined with peace of mind. Since then she has continued to be inspired by power and vinyasa styles of yoga, attending classes by various teachers at Upward Dog Yoga Centre and Rama Lotus Yoga Centre. Madelin completed her yoga instructor certification in April 2013 at Rama Lotus Yoga Centre under the direction of Abe Cartland, Jamine Ackert and Kat Mills. Madelin continues to work on her practice by regularly attending classes at Rama Lotus and teaching at the Odawa Native Friendship Centre through Karama Warriors, and at the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada. She also has gotten involved in children’s yoga, teaching weekly at Funhaven Family Entertainment Centre.
